Ji Soo Draws Crowds in the Philippines After Lawsuit Over School Bullying Scandal Ends

Actor Ji Soo is continuing to stay active in the Philippines, where he was greeted by enthusiastic fans at a recent event.

On August 6th, Ji Soo shared several photos from an event held with a clothing brand at a popular shopping mall in the Philippines.

The photos showed the actor smiling brightly and waving both hands at fans who had gathered to welcome him. Dressed casually in a white T-shirt and dark denim jacket, he appeared in high spirits as he interacted with the crowd.

The cheerful update comes years after Ji Soo halted his activities in South Korea following allegations of school bullying.

In March 2021, while the KBS drama River Where the Moon Rises was six episodes into its run, Ji Soo became embroiled in accusations that he had bullied classmates in school. After acknowledging some of the allegations, he stepped down from the drama, and Na In Woo was brought in as his replacement beginning with Episode 7. Much of the series was subsequently reshot.

The production company later filed a 3 billion won damages lawsuit against Ji Soo’s agency at the time, KeyEast, seeking compensation for the additional production costs caused by the reshoots.

A lower court ordered KeyEast to pay approximately 1.42 billion won, but an appeals court later reduced the amount to about 880 million won (approximately $630,000), after reassessing the damages. KeyEast appealed to the Supreme Court but withdrew the appeal last month, making the appellate ruling final.
